Walailak University, led by Dr. Kanokwan Meesook, Ms. Alisara Saramolee, and Mr. Watcharawat Promma, the lectures at the School of Accountancy and Finance, Ms. Amonrat Ammartsena, the lecture at the School of Law, Dr.Naparat Chookead, the lecture at the School of Informatics, Ms. Preeda Chotechuang, the Internal Audit Unit, collaborates with the Foundation for Public Policy and Good Governance team and the Buddhadasa Indapanno Archives Foundation (Suan Mokkh Bangkok) team to monitor the progress of the Temple Management Project in Buddhism According to the Principles of Moral Discipline at Wat Wang Tawan Tok, Klang Subdistrict, Mueang District, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province. The goal is to offer temple services by establishing a management system to reduce the burden on monks in temple management, ensuring that the temple is managed systematically, standardized, transparent, and auditable. There is a volunteer team for each temple from the business sector, the community sector, and the university sector participating in assisting with the establishment of systems and implementing best practices until the temple can manage itself according to the new work systems. Wat Wang Tawan Tok is a leading temple that will implement good practices in temple management and serve as an example for other temples in Nakhon Si Thammarat province.
In addition, there is an expansion of the area for implementing the project to Wat Sritawee, Wat Chantaram, and Wat Vimuttidhamma. Therefore, visits are made to these temples to discuss and plan the project. This project aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically SDG 4 - Ensure inclusive and quality education for all and promote lifelong learning opportunities, SDG 16 - Promote peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development, provide access to justice for all and build effective, accountable, and inclusive institutions at all levels, and SDG 17 - building cooperation with networks and relevant organizations.
